Mallard Family Dental Team

Our MFDC team is an extraordinary group of dental professionals that take pride in their ability to care for your oral health needs. We see ourselves as a family; in fact, many members of the staff have been a part of MFDC for 10 to 20 years. We laugh a lot, smile even more and are always willing to go the extra-mile for our patients. From the first greeting when you walk in the door to post-treatment discussions, a staff member will always be by your side to ensure your visit is comfortable and pleasant.

We encourage patients to ask questions in order to make more informed decisions about their oral health, the more we communicate the better your experience will be. We greatly appreciate your trust in us; in return, we promise to do our best to keep you smiling.

    Jennifer has been in the dental field since 1996. She started as a dental assistant, then quickly realized she enjoys being in the front office. Jennifer feels lucky to have found a home at Mallard Family Dental where she works closely with her friends who are staff members as well as patients. In Jennifer’s spare time she enjoys traveling, concerts, hiking and going to the movies. She is a diehard Seattle Seahawk fan and enjoys cheering them on during football season.

    Hygienist

    Amber graduated with a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of South Dakota in 2015. She moved to Boise in 2017 and joined the MFDC team shortly after. Amber has always wanted to be a dental hygienist ever since she was a little girl and first went to the dentist. She loves meeting new people and helping them feel confident with their smile. When Amber is not working, she coaches gymnastics, hikes, walking her two dogs and spending time with family and friends.

    Kristen graduated from the College of Western Idaho Dental Assisting Program. After multiple internships she started at Mallard Family Dental and has loved every moment of it. She is passionate about dentistry and helping every patient that visits us. In her free time Kristin enjoys hiking, reading and painting.

    Cindy graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in dental hygiene and has been a clinical hygienist for over 30 years. She has been employed by MFDC since 1996 and is passionate about providing great dental care to MFDC patients.

    Tarah graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. She has been working at MFDC since 1993. Tarah truly enjoys providing quality, conscientious care; she prides herself in bringing a gentle touch to dentistry. She is happy to work one-on-one with patients to help bring out their healthiest smile.

    Jeannie

    Hygienist

    Jeannie graduated from Temple University with a degree in dental hygiene in 1981 and went on to receive her Master's Degree in Health Science from Boise State University in 2011. Her professional interests include educationg patients about the link between periodontal disease and whole body wellness, dental caries prevention and providing greater access to children's dental health. Besides her clinical work at Mallard Family Dental, Jeannie works as an adjunct professor at Boise State University where she teaches Graduate Research Methods.

    Rachelle began her higher education with a Bachelor of Science in business marketing from the University of Idaho but later realized she had a passion for dentistry. She returned to school and received her dental hygiene degree from Yakima Valley Community College and has been working with MFDC since 2006. Rachelle thoroughly enjoys her job as a hygienist; she finds providing patient care and volunteering her services in the community extremely rewarding.

    Patty has been a dental assistant for over 30 years. I have loved working at Mallard Family Dental. I enjoy all of the people I work with and meeting all of the wonderful patients we have here. When I am not working I love to hike, ride my bike and spend time with my grandchildren. I attend all of their sporting events, soccer, baseball, flag football and musical events.

    Amy graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene in 1994. She worked as a dental hygienist in Minneapolis and in Boulder, Colorado before moving to Boise in 1998. With a passion for leading and teaching in the field of dental hygiene, Amy went on to receive her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University in 2001. With a new mission to serve the Intellectually Disabled, Amy directed the Special Olympics Special Smiles program in Idaho and received many honors for community events and oral health services. Amy has been a member of MFDC since 2007 and brings experience and compassion to our patients.

    Shiann has worked in the dental field for over 20 years; she has been a part of the MFDC team since 1998. She is passionate about her job and likes having fun doing it. Her motto is: Love life, stay positive and be happy.

    Angelica is a certified dental assistant. Certifications in dental expanded functions. Enjoys working in a team environment and focused on giving the patient the best experience they can have.
